Last visit to Phuket…

Small squishy rental car… at Rolly tasker

I never like visiting the super touristy Phuket, only that I have too go there sometimes.. like getting boat parts from Rolly Tasker or some shops in Boat Lagoon. .. otherwise, I dun really fancy going there.

Hmmppphhhh! Some concrete block on the ground in the carpark did this to me.

I mean, Phuket is nice, have plenty of beautiful beaches… but just ruined by the overly touristy feel and tourist money hungry scammers. And now that they have scammed me of S$180, I am simply never gonna spend another dime there. … altho it was partially my fault too… but S$180 for a small dent on the bumper on the rental car is more money than fixing it in Singapore.

Arrhhh… Arcus! We have hope that this Korean Originate Stainless is better than any made in China.

Ok heres the car before and after… thats us at Rolly Tasker… turn out that’s another scammer too. but thats another story for another day.

Breakfast at Panwa Beach Resort. It was good and a great view.

Our whole purpose here is to buy rigging wire for Calliste… and maybe afew other things… like replacement LED nav lights. And we found it all at East Marine Chandlery … not Rollys… their wire origin is dubios ..(prob China) .. We definately believe we had got better service and product at East Marine.. we are very particular shoppers when it comes to boat equipment.

The pool and beyond.

Well, now on to the better parts of this final trip. We did stay at the very nice Panwa Beach Resort. Best hotel that we’ve stayed in Phuket. The breakfast was wonderful. Un-watered down orange juice, real maple syrup with French toast and pancakes. Fine cut ham and salami, etc etc…

Morning walk out to the hill from hotel.

Grounds were very well kept, rooms were clean and appliances worked. … Oh, we did have a problem with finding the hotel.. had to drive thru the city center and that was real confusing. Should have just ordered a chauffer for the whole 3 days.

Our new friend.

Oh the pool, pool view and sea view is really not bad. Quiet, no touristy touts on the beach.. Except for a loud bunch of Chinese tourist, all other guest seem to be enjoying the posh resort feel.

We walked up a hill one morning to get some excercise, fresh air and view from the hill down to Chalong Bay. Look, we have a new friend. This dog walked with us all the way up and then escorted us back too. So cute and friendly.

Well well.. but now that we have everything necessary, or that we will buy the remaining parts from US, we will have no more reason to visit our new friendly dog anymore ..
