Calliste’s new dig

We have come a long way since moving from Sebana in early April this year.. from Sebana -> SAFYC Changi -> Marina @ Keppel Bay.

Lights at Marina @ Keppel bay

Absolutely expensive looking marina…. fortunately the price is quite affordable… ya, its alot more than SAFYC, but its more comfy and I love the location of this place. 15mins walk to Harbourfront malls and MRT station, its just so much more convenient. 1deg15 and Raffles dont come close in my books and they charge more…  for “exclusive” reasons, I think.

Marina @ Keppel bay, Harbourfront office towers, cruise ferry terminal in the background

Bottomline, I love it here, Doug’s okay with be here. He misses a club with a decent swimming pool in some other more exotic islands.. Singapore is an island, definately lost it “exotic”ness.

The "White Rabbit", living on the water at its most luxurious...

Here we are neighbours with the very rich and famous around here… The White Rabbit is truly a beautiful megayacht.. and is our neighbour… We should go over, knock and introduce ourselves.. one of these days.. let me check my sched, I should really make time for this.. 🙂

Little Calliste and her large neighbours.. missing Eleanor

Well, me thinks Calliste is missing Eleanor… who is still staying dry at the farm… wonder how she is… hmm… maybe a visit soon… BTW, this is our new friend, a regular around here.

Our new little friend, hunting dinner.

Its abit rolly here, at times when the ferries goes in or out at the cruise terminal at Harbourfront. .. but its really quite tolerable..

I got a feeling… that we are getting a break off the berthing as we provide visual entertainment to the apartment dwellers.. and future apartment dwellers… …?? 🙂 Hmm… those million dollars apartment certainly have a great view… of US! which otherwise would be a small bare island with wharves for big ship repairs.

The Carribean condo dwellers, overlooking us at the marina

Old times dry docks, now a waterway inside the Carribean compound… wonder if somebodys gonna learn how to paddle in there… or sail a dinghy? That would be quite fun! Watersports right at your doorstep!

New plastic planks, railing and lamps... old bollards.

The rest of Keppel island is a great place to hangout! Manicured lawns, broadwalk and “bollards”. This island was a place for ancient ship repair… and the ships got bigger and fatter and too big to fit this little Keppel island…

Some old gadget, visual wind speed indicator?

I am really happy that the designers of this new marina island kept the historical effects here. This broadwalk is my favorite place to hangout and watch the activities all around. Space is precious in Singapore, and its so good to have some still available.
