BabyPalm in its birthday pot at Punggol Marina

Doug ask me what I want for birthday in 2006, and I wanted a coconut plant. So he went and tried to buy one at the nursery, but no luck. Then he went into the still rural Punggol Seventeen avenue and found 1 seedling. Mama palm was being strangled by the forestation growing around her, but one of her offspring is gonna make it out and hopefully do well. That was the beginning of journey for baby palm.

Late April 2006, babypalm planted in a nice square tin pot. Pot moved to our pontoon at Punggol marina and placed next to Calliste. Picture here showing baby palm in her 1st pot. Isnt she cute.

Dec 2006, we had to move from Punggol over to Sebana. We had problems with marina management. Any it was time to move on. Babypalm and Bamboo was loaded into our 20ft container and sent over on truck. Just arrived, BabyPalm at Sebana

Jan 2006, babypalm and bamboo just arrived at Sebana dry storage.

Bamboo looks like in bad shape, but she made great recovery with water. Babypalm not at all affected by the move. Maybe she is excited about the new place. …
