Story of BabyPalm Part 2- Ready for the big time

Now heres the thing, we are not always going to be at Sebana. Weekdays I work in SG, Doug may stay on for the week, or not. We need to ensure our plants are watered. In this remote location, nobody would be able to help us. Doug put together a simple and effective irrigation system of 1 really big trash can with a small id tube and a screw at the end to control the drip.

This is how babypalm stay healthy and grew bigger from Jan07 to Jan09. From a small seedling, she is now taller than me..

Babypalm was almost bursting her 2nd pot. Anyway, we noticed roots going into soil and decided it was time to plant babypalm into a permanant place. She will soon be too big to move around. It had to be now or never..

On the 2nd day of the new year. 02/01/2009, babypalm was weened from her drip milking system. She is on her own now…

Her new home overlooks the lagoon, morning sun and afternoon shade. Million dollar property for a palm! Mama palm must be proud. This is a great spot for us, in case we leave Sebana and wanna come back for a visit. Babypalm is clearly visible from the lagoon.
